First you have a box....a heavy one...that means....fabrics!
And then you have a lot of colour!
During the last week I did not make time to blog....just because I wanted to sew...and design. Maaike and I decided to design new quilts for our book....so the patterns fit on a page...etc etc.... I dream about quilts....books....a lot of sewing and a lot of pleasure.
And I have a table full of scraps, little boxes, a small tin, a ruler and a cutter....
One box is for strips of two cm: you need this one for the walls and chimneys. Then there is the lid of the box with strips the size of doors. And there is a pile of blues and whites for the air. And a box with yellow squares for the windows....and do not forget the tiny tin with my templates....
As a builder you have to be prepared!
Afgelopen week geen tijd gemaakt om hier wat te schrijven....ik wilde gewoon naaien en ontwerpen. De quilts voor het boek spoken door mijn hoofd en willen eruit, maar er moet soms eerst nog wat anders.....
En natuurlijk een tafel vol met restjes in allerlei maten voor de huisjes.... reepjes voor de muren, reepjes voor de deuren, vierkantjes voor de ramen en lapjes voor de lucht. Als aannemer en bouwer moet je goed voorbereid zijn. Het weer is nu goed: geen vorstverlet in het verschiet.
